Latest updates from our leadership team.

One of the great blessings of my life is to be the pastor of Parkview Church! This post is for our church family.
If you know me, you know I am an eternal optimist. If you know me well, you know I am a direct communicator. If you know me really well, you know I am not an alarmist. If you know me really, really well, you know crisis leadership is a very strong passion of mine.
With those clear understandings let’s dive in:
Everyday take in some portion of Scripture. I would encourage you to focus on the promises of God.
Everyday release a prayer to the Lord. I would focus on His character and His faithfulness.
If you are 65 or over do not leave home this week unless an absolute emergency!!
If you are 65+ and someone offers to help you, let them! You need them and more so they need you. As younger people, it is important that older people need us.
As a church, if you are 65+ you are our very first priority. If you need something email us at
This virus is going to get way way worse. We need to do our best as a country to slow it down so our healthcare system does not get overwhelmed.
Toilet paper was invented in 1857, which means for thousands and thousands of years humanity existed without it. It is an absolute non-essential.
There will be plenty of food. You probably have enough in your house for 1-2 months. By the looks of us we could afford to cut back our food consumption.
If you are under 65 cut way back on going out and being around people. Don’t stop your life but live wisely. When at all possible stay home, spend time with family, get things done around the house and enjoy what God has given you.
This week cut your social media and news media consumption way back - at least in half. Commit to only being on media for a certain amount of time and during a certain time.
Listen to worship music. I will have our staff put together a playlist as soon as possible.
The stock market will take a major, major hit. Don’t worry it will come back, it always does.
If you are on a fixed income you are in a real good position. Take a moment right now to thank God for all you have.
If you are not on a fixed income, you will make it but it will be challenging. Challenges are good and make us stronger. They also cause us to trust in the Lord and from my perspective that is a good thing!
Don’t watch the news non-stop.
Do some things old school- maybe listen to the radio (not news related), play a game, put together a puzzle, read a book etc
Do some things new school- listen to some podcasts, think of some things you would enjoy learning about and go watch some You Tube videos to expand your learning, think of some things you would like to learn to do and google them and probably watch some You Tube videos for that too.
Help the younger generation live with peace and calm during this time. You can figure out the best ways to do that.
God wants to teach you and me some things during this time. Let’s keep our eyes and hearts open.
Sleep and get caught up on your rest. We don’t think well at all when we are tired.
Life as we know it has officially changed.
You will blink twice and it will change back.
This too shall pass.
I am praying for you!!!
I love you!!!!!!
II Timothy 1:7 God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind.
Psalm 46:10 Be still and know that He is God.
Feel free to pass this along and encourage others.

Psalm 34:1-4

I will bless the Lord at all times;
his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul makes its boast in the Lord;
let the humble hear and be glad.
3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me,
and let us exalt his name together!
4 I sought the Lord, and he answered me
and delivered me from all my fears.
