Summer Gatherings are a great way to stay connected to the church through fun activities and events throughout the summer. These gatherings aren’t just for people who attend Parkview—they’re for everyone. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people, grow in your faith, and enjoy the summer together as a church family. Whether you’re a student, a young adult, or a retired senior, there’s something for you. So invite your friends and come be part of what God is doing this summer—let’s gather together.
Find Your Summer Gathering
So, what exactly are Summer Gatherings?
Think of Summer Gatherings as your chance to build lasting friendships while doing the things you already love. They are all about creating meaningful connections and helping everyone find their place in our church family through shared hobbies and interests.
Where will we be hanging out?
You'll find Summer Gatherings happening all over! From cozy living rooms and local restaurants to the church itself or even out on the athletic field, our groups meet at various spots throughout the Palm Coast community during the week.
When do these gatherings happen?
There is a time for everyone! Depending on the group and the leader, Summer Gatherings might meet once a week, every other week, or once a month. Whether you are a morning person or prefer evenings, you can check the specific times when you sign up to see what fits your rhythm.
Can I sign up for multiple Summer Gatherings?
We love the enthusiasm, and yes, you certainly can! However, we want to make sure you don't overextend yourself. We usually recommend starting with one hangout where you can fully dive in, unless you're sure you have the time to commit to more than one.
What is the schedule for this season?
For our summer season, the fun kicks off in May and wraps up in August.
Are Summer Gatherings and Groups the same thing?
While they share some similarities, Summer Gatherings and Groups have different focuses. Summer Gatherings are short-term opportunities centered on "Going Together" through outreach and friendship. In contrast, Groups are semester-based communities that emphasize "Growing Together" through dedicated Bible study. Since our next Group semester doesn't begin until the final week of August, Summer Gatherings provide a perfect way to stay connected and continue growing until the new season kicks off.
